Arizona’s Economy: 2-Year Prediction of Recovery

George W. Hammond, Ph.D., Director and Research Professor at the Economic and Business Research Center compiles data to predict how the economy will evolve in the next two years.

The current economic downturn is estimated to be similar in magnitude of the Great Depression but expected to be much shorter in duration. Hammond predicts that if the current pandemic is contained, the Arizona Economy will steadily recover by first quarter in 2022.
