The Opportunity
As the firm continues to expand its portfolio and deepen its analytical capabilities, we are seeking a high-performing Senior Financial Analyst to join the team. This individual will serve as a key analytical resource across the investment lifecycle — from evaluating investment potential and managing portfolio performance, to building data-driven forecasts and supporting strategic real estate planning. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, brings deep financial modeling expertise, and can translate complex analysis into clear insights for senior leadership.
What Most Days Will Include
Portfolio Analysis & Financial Reporting
• Manage and analyze the financial health of tenants and portfolio assets, including detailed review of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Conduct ongoing portfolio performance analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and cost optimization options
• Assess historic financial trends and evaluate regulatory and legal considerations that may affect the portfolio
Financial Modeling & Forecasting
• Build and maintain advanced Excel-based models including DCF, IRR, NPV, waterfall distributions, and sensitivity analyses
• Develop business case scenario and stress testing analyses in collaboration with real estate, operations, and corporate finance leadership
• Formalize operational demand forecasts into detailed real estate requirements, including expansion, consolidation, capital expenditures, and sequencing prioritization
Strategic Planning & Market Research
• Support site evaluation and market prioritization through due diligence, demographic research, and competitive and operational data analysis
• Partner with cross-functional teams to forecast space needs based on business projections, operational standards, and space utilization metrics
Leasing, Sales & Asset Management
• Leverage Excel and credit analysis to produce financial models for individual properties supporting acquisition, disposition, and repositioning decisions
• Support value-add initiatives including development projects and asset repositioning strategies
Reporting & Data Integrity
• Produce recurring and ad hoc reports providing visibility into development activity, lease activity, and capital deployment
• Develop dashboards, reporting packages, and executive-level presentations
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of portfolio data, ensuring high integrity in the real estate database, supply/demand metrics, and KPIs
• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies to ensure accuracy across all reporting outputs
What Will Make You Successful
Experience & Education
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Real Estate, or a related analytical field required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a financial analyst, preferably in commercial real estate, investments, or asset management
• Demonstrated experience with value-add investment strategies, including development and asset repositioning
• Experience managing portfolios of commercial properties strongly preferred
Technical Skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling (DCF, IRR, NPV, waterfalls, sensitivities); PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Project
• Scenario planning, stress testing, and sensitivity analysis experience preferred
• Proficiency with GIS tools and/or real estate database platforms a plus
• Strong accounting fundamentals and understanding of financial statement analysis
Analytical & Professional Skills
• Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
• Ability to determine tenant creditworthiness through rigorous financial analysis
• Strategic thinker with intellectual curiosity and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups, including senior leadership
• Ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly to non-technical audiences
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven with the ability to independently manage workflow and deadlines
Compensation & Benefits
• $150,000 – $200,000 DOE
