Field Service Technician – Power Systems Specialist
Are you a skilled Field Service Technician with expertise in servicing and maintaining uninterruptible power supply (UPS), backup power systems, batteries and power distribution equipment? We’re looking for an experienced professional with a strong technical background in electricity and batteries, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to outstanding customer service to join our Field Service team. This person must be based in the Denver Metropolitan area and will cover Colorado and surrounding states, and work with a wide variety of customers.
What You’ll Do
- Perform maintenance and repairs on single- and three-phase UPS systems, power quality, and distribution equipment.
- Provide expert technical support and advice to customers on operational and maintenance issues.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with clear and professional communication.
- Plan and manage maintenance activities efficiently to meet customer needs and maximize productivity.
- Maintain detailed service documentation and report all activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
What You Bring
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years working as a Service Technician with UPS systems and/or emergency power systems. Hands-on experience with major UPS brands such as Vertiv, Powerware, Schneider, Liebert, Emerson, etc., is required.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of single- and three-phase systems, AC/DC circuit theory, and ability to interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Skills: Proficiency in using test equipment, effective communication, and a high level of organization for reporting and documentation.
- Education: Associate degree in electricity, electronics, or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience may substitute.
- Flexibility: Available for a rotating on-call schedule and willing to travel across California and out-of-state for short durations.
- Other Requirements: Clean driving record, ability to pass a background check, and computer literacy.

- Competitive base salary starting at $35-48/hr+ (DOE), plus OT when applicable
