Job Description

The Field Service Technician is a professional minded individual with technical experience in electricity, backup power, uninterruptible power and power distribution equipment. This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while performing technical maintenance and repair of equipment.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work under the supervision of the Service Operations Manager and Officers of the Company
• Provide ongoing maintenance and repair of single and three phase UPS systems, power quality and power distribution equipment.
• Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects.
• Provide exceptional customer service and customer communication while performing technical work.
• Scheduling maintenance activities efficiently and to benefit the customer and the company.
• Complete service reports and paperwork.
• Effectively communicate with coworkers and supervisors regarding all activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Desired 2 years of experience in UPS, battery technologies, emergency power, electricity or electronics.
• Preferred factory or field training in the repair and maintenance in one, or several leading UPS brands is highly desired along with field technician or related experience.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret technical instructions, safety manuals, service manuals, electric and electronic schematics, and policies and procedures
• Demonstrate an understanding of single phase, three phase and AC/DC circuit theory: be proficient in the use of test equipment.
• On-call rotation schedule: 2 weeks on call, 4 weeks off.  During this time, you must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary as well as provide 24/7 on-call emergency services as required
• Travel is required: most often it’s out-of-state once per month for up to 3 nights, and local travel within Arizona as needed.
• Associate degree in electricity or electronics or a related field preferred.  Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must have a clean driving record
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with customers where tact may be required.
• Good documentation skills, timely reporting and computer literacy are essential.

BASE SALARY & BENEFITS
$65-75K DOE
