- Handle construction and development accounting, including job cost tracking and lender draws
- Oversee property accounting functions such as CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, rent rolls, and lease accounting
- Monitor cash balances, debt service, loan covenants, and investor distributions
- Serve as the primary financial contact for lenders, investors, joint venture partners, and tribal stakeholders
- Supervise and develop the accounting team while remaining actively involved in production work
- Maintain internal controls, support audits, and coordinate with external CPAs and tax advisors
- Drive system improvements, automation, and process efficiencies as the business grows

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in commercial real estate (retail preferred)
- Strong background in real estate, construction, and property management accounting
- Proven ownership of complex, multi-entity financial close processes
- Experience working with lenders, investors, and joint venture structures
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial models, cash flows, and investor waterfalls
- Yardi experience required
- Solid GAAP knowledge, strong judgment, and a practical, business-minded approach
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred but not required: CPA and/or MBA
