Healthcare Construction Project Manager (Owner-Side PM/CM)
Healthcare Construction – Full-Time, Direct Hire
Scottsdale, AZ or Boise, ID | Full-Time | Regular travel between both offices
A well-established construction firm has launched a dedicated healthcare division and is adding a newly created Project Manager / Construction Manager role. This person will represent the owner’s interests on healthcare projects for tribal community clients, where the firm is engaged as Construction Manager. It’s a ground-floor opportunity to shape how a growing healthcare group delivers for its clients.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as the owner’s representative on healthcare construction projects, advocating for the client from planning through closeout
- Oversee design teams, general contractors, and trade partners to keep projects on scope, schedule, and budget
- Manage budgets, change orders, pay applications, and project schedules on the owner’s behalf
- Lead OAC meetings and serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders and leadership
- Coordinate healthcare-specific requirements, including infection control, regulatory/code compliance, medical equipment planning, and occupied-facility work
- Review contracts, RFPs, and bids; support procurement and contractor selection
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with community clients and represent the firm with professionalism and cultural awareness
- Travel between the Scottsdale and Boise offices and to project sites as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience as an owner’s representative, PM, or CM on healthcare construction projects
- Working knowledge of healthcare construction requirements (ICRA, Joint Commission/AHJ compliance, FGI guidelines, MEP-intensive buildouts)
- Strong budget, schedule, and contract management skills
- Confident communicator who can hold contractors accountable while keeping the client relationship strong
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- Willingness to travel regularly between Arizona and Idaho
Position Details:
- Location: Scottsdale, AZ or Boise, ID, with travel between both offices
- Compensation: Competitive base salary, DOE
