About the Role
An Arizona-based Design-Build firm is seeking a CAD Drafter to join their team. This organization partners with clients across the country in a specialized hospitality-focused niche, delivering innovative and highly functional commercial space designs. The role is open to candidates residing in Phoenix or Tucson and offers the opportunity to work on projects within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
The CAD Drafter will be responsible for developing detailed layouts and utility rough-in drawings for commercial facilities using AutoCAD. This position plays a key role in translating architectural plans into functional, code-compliant designs that support specialized operational areas within hospitality environments. The individual will work closely with the design team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery of all project drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify AutoCAD drawings for commercial layouts and utility rough-ins, interpreting architectural and engineering drawings to develop functional design solutions
- Assist in the specification of efficient and code-compliant equipment and components, preparing utility rough-in drawings to support engineering implementation and project submittals
- Collaborate with internal design teams to ensure alignment across project phases
- Deliver accurate drawings within established project timelines.
What We’re Looking For
- The ability to read and analyze architectural and engineering drawings and equipment specifications & familiarity with MEP systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Preferred but not required: Revit, SketchUp, AutoQuotes
- Strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience, along with a full benefits package.
Location: Arizona. Phoenix residents may work remotely with occasional travel to Tucson. Tucson residents will work at company site.
