About the Role
A global corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead a team of 5 HR professionals in delivering strategic and operational HR support to a workforce of 1,500 employees in the Central and Western Regions of the United States. This role is instrumental in shaping people strategy across a diverse employee base, including a regional field sales network, sales leadership teams, and corporate staff and executive leaders in shared services functions.
The employee population you will support includes a significant presence in California—requiring deep expertise in California employment law. It also supports a broad sales network of field representatives and sales management. We are seeking experience partnering with sales leaders to drive performance and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6 direct reports to deliver high-impact HR solutions.
- Partner with senior leadership, sales leaders, and corporate functional heads to align people strategies with business objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on California employment law, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
- Support the sales organization in talent planning, performance management, incentive program execution, and employee engagement.
- Drive HR initiatives across employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives, offering strategic insights on workforce trends, retention, and culture.
- Oversee complex employee relations matters, investigations, and resolution strategies.
Qualifications
- Fully bilingual in Spanish
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HRBP or HR leadership role.
- Proven expertise in California employment law and HR compliance.
- Prior experience supporting field sales leaders and geographically dispersed sales teams.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior leadership and offer strategic solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree or HR certification a plus.
