Accounting Compliance Analyst
Position Summary
We are looking for an Accounting Compliance Analyst to review accounting records and past transactions to help ensure they align with and comply with the terms of grants and government funding provided for programs and services. This is a great fit for someone early in their accounting career, including recent graduates, who wants to build experience in financial review and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review accounting records and past transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation
- Compare transactions and financial records against grant and government funding terms and requirements
- Help identify discrepancies, missing documentation, or transactions that do not align with funding terms
- Assist with account reconciliations and routine financial reporting
- Maintain organized, audit-ready files and records
- Communicate with internal staff and outside partners to gather documentation or clarify questions
- Support internal and external audits as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, or actively working toward completion
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and data
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Preferred, Not Required
- Familiarity with grants or state and federal funding compliance
- Prior internship or work experience in accounting or finance
