Project Manager – Construction
Location: Phoenix – onsite
Compensation: $120k-$160k, depending on experience
Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of concrete construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between the client, field teams, and internal departments, managing project planning, cost control, scheduling, and subcontractor performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

Lead project start-up activities, including budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination.

Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and cost forecasts using tools such as Procore, MS Project, or Primavera.

Coordinate with estimators, engineers, and superintendents to ensure proper scope and delivery of all concrete work.

Financial Management

Prepare and manage project budgets, change orders, and monthly cost reports.

Track labor productivity, material usage, and equipment costs to maintain profitability.

Review and approve subcontractor invoices and vendor payments.

Quality & Safety

Ensure all concrete work meets company standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.

Conduct site walks and collaborate with field leadership to proactively address quality or schedule issues.

Champion a culture of safety compliance and continuous improvement.

Team & Client Coordination

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers.

Manage subcontractors and internal field crews, fostering clear communication and accountability.

Lead project meetings, documentation, and progress reporting.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities for workflow improvements in scheduling, logistics, and cost control.

Mentor junior staff and support ongoing team development initiatives.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of project management experience in concrete or structural construction (commercial, industrial, or heavy civil).

Strong understanding of concrete formwork, rebar, flatwork, and structural pours.

Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel).

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams in fast-paced environments.
