Seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist with homebuilding experience to join the National Purchasing department at a stable, reputable, national homebuilder. The Sr. Purchasing Specialist will manage the procurement of an assigned category/vertical. The Sr. Purchasing Specialist is responsible for bidding, analyzing, negotiating, and preparing award recommendations for contracts to approved Trades and Suppliers. In addition to procurement duties, this position will assemble and maintain budgets, prep documents for inclusion into trade contract agreements, and perform other duties related to the purchasing process. This role will provide mentorship to newer members on the team; leadership skills and previous experience in Purchasing are required for success.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in residential homebuilding required
- Minimum 3 years of experience purchasing labor and materials in residential construction required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or Business required
- Prior experience with negotiating as it relates to purchasing
- Must be able to read plans/blueprints
- Strong Excel skills
$115,000 – $120,000
