Job Description

Senior Director FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis)

Phoenix based company is seeking a strategic, results-driven FP&A leader ready to make an impact in a high-growth environment. This is your opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly scaling business that has achieved 400% growth in a recent phase of growth.
We’re looking for someone who combines big-picture vision with a hands-on approach—someone who goes beyond reporting to deliver actionable insights that drive strategy at the C-Suite and Board levels.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a Strategic Advisor: Collaborate directly with the Senior Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and financial partners to uncover opportunities, tackle challenges, and support exponential growth.
  • Transform Data into Action: Move beyond budgets, variance analyses, and reports—dig into the numbers, understand the trends behind them, and provide solutions to drive the business forward.
  • Tell & Write the Growth Story: Identify key metrics and what influences them. Then translate those insights into a clear, actionable narrative.
  • Lead & Develop the Team: Mentor and guide the FP&A team, teaching them to analyze data critically and deliver recommendations that influence decision-making.
  • Own the Big Picture: Perspective on the organization as a whole—not just a single division—to provide holistic financial insights that align with business strategy.

Who You Are

  • Strategic, Insightful, and Action-Oriented: You know how to unpack the “why” behind the numbers and provide solutions, not just reports.
  • Growth-Minded Leader: You’ve worked in high-growth businesses (e.g., mid-stage growth or pre-IPO environments) and understand what it takes to scale successfully.
  • C-Suite Partner: You’re comfortable presenting insights at the highest levels and influencing leadership decisions.
  • Detail-Oriented & Story-Driven: You can analyze granular metrics (e.g., labor cost breakdowns) while keeping the big picture in focus.
  • A Teacher & a Doer: You’ll model a proactive, results-focused approach while developing your team’s skills to think critically and strategically.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-5+ years of corporate-level, full P&L and balance sheet FP&A experience, ideally building from 2-4+ years at the functional level.
  • Proven experience presenting FP&A analysis and actionable recommendations to senior leadership and/or boards.
  • Success in a high-growth company (e.g., $250M+ in revenue), including experience building and scaling FP&A teams during growth phases.
  • Preference for candidates from growth-stage companies, rather than large, mature corporations.
  • Exposure to the healthcare sector is a plus but not required.

What We’re Offering.

  • The opportunity to make a direct, strategic impact on a fast-scaling business with no ceiling for growth.
  • A leadership role where you’ll have a voice at the table and a seat at the forefront of decision-making.

If you’re ready to help lead a high-growth organization through its next chapter—bringing insight, action, and vision to the FP&A function—we want to meet you.

Apply Now to bring your expertise to a company that values your ability to drive growth through strategic insights.
