Job Description

National home service provider is now hiring a Sales & Service Technician in the greater Indianapolis area.  This job blends hands-on equipment servicing with sales, and is ideal for individuals who enjoy the variety and flexibility working in the field provides with the high income potential of sales position.  No industry experience is required, but the ability and desire to connect with customers and sell/upsell services/parts is.  The ideal person for the Sales & Service Technician position will want to work with their hands and be “on-the-go” (that’s the service part!), and enjoy working with customers to ensure they understand what their options are for repair, maintenance or new parts (that’s the sales part!).  Comprehensive training will be offered, but the right person will be able to demonstrate a history of excellent customer service skills, the drive to win and the desire to increase/influence their income potential. 

Duties:

  • Travel to customers’ homes to assess, diagnose issues and repair equipment
  • Repair or replace worn or broken parts using hand tools
  • Install hardware or other interior fixtures
  • Test mechanical equipment for ensure its functioning properly
  • Make recommendations to customer for new parts or equipment as needed
  • Collect payments for goods or services

Specifications:

  • Comprehensive, 8-week training program offered (first 4 weeks is in your local market, second 4 weeks requires out-of-state travel to training facility at no cost to you)
  • Company vehicle plus full benefits offered
  • Weekly stipend plus bonuses during 8-week training period, “pay-for-performance” once you transition into the field
  • Average first year income is 60-80K++, and increases over time based on meeting KPIs
