Project Engineer – Concrete Construction

Whether you’re a recent construction management graduate with strong internship experience or a professional with a background as a Project Engineer or Project Coordinator, this role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced Project Managers on high-profile projects across the region.
As a Project Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our project management team from pre-construction through close-out—helping ensure our projects are delivered with the quality, safety, and precision our clients expect.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and manage construction documentation (RFIs, ASIs, Submittals, Change Orders, As-Builts).
- Attend pre-construction meetings; document and distribute meeting notes.
- Assist with scheduling and planning, including look-ahead schedules, crane plans, and early pour requests.
- Review project specifications (Divisions 1, 3, 7, 9, 31, 32) and soils reports.
- Collaborate with BIM/CAD teams, GCs, subs, and internal teams to ensure communication and resolve issues.
- Manage the submittal process: logs, lead times, vendor coordination.
- Review and redline shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Develop procurement schedules and manage vendor delivery timelines.
- Track RFIs, submittals, and drawing updates to keep teams working off the latest documents.
- Conduct QA/QC pre-inspections and walk inspections when possible.
- Verify mix designs, site readiness, and weather considerations before pours.
- Document daily activity with reports and photos.
- Assist with budget reviews, project evaluations, and process improvements.
- Manage punch list, warranty tracking, and close-out documentation.
- Support OCIP/CCIP close-out procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of construction or engineering experience (internships count).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- A proactive, team-oriented problem-solver.

- Base Salary: $65,000–$80,000 DOE
