Pricing Manager

Responsibilities
Pricebook Management
- Maintain and update the pricebook system, ensuring accuracy and relevance across all product lines.
- Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to position the business competitively.
- Oversee promotional pricing updates and manage exceptions for specific regions or stores.
- Ensure seasonal and merchandise pricing aligns with strategic objectives.
Analysis and Reporting
- Conduct in-depth pricing analyses to uncover margin improvement opportunities.
- Generate reports on sales performance, pricing trends, and profitability.
- Use data insights to recommend pricing adjustments aligned with business goals.
- Analyze inventory turnover to support efficient stock management and avoid overstock or shortages.
Collaboration
- Partner with purchasing teams to understand cost changes and negotiate supplier terms.
- Work with marketing teams to align pricing strategies with promotional campaigns.
- Communicate pricing updates effectively with store managers and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with IT to address system issues and maintain system accuracy.
Compliance
- Ensure pricing and taxation compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay informed of regulatory changes impacting pricing strategies.
- Oversee pricing audits, resolving discrepancies promptly.
Training and Development
- Train store staff on pricing policies, tools, and procedures.
- Create and update training materials to ensure consistent implementation of strategies.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to ensure adherence to pricing policies.
Inventory & Vendor Relations
- Work with suppliers to negotiate bulk and promotional pricing for cost savings.
- Implement pricing strategies to minimize inventory shrinkage.
- Assist in vendor negotiations to secure favorable terms aligned with pricing goals.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based with occasional outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.
- Moderate noise levels with potential evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Occasional local travel required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail pricing or related roles in the convenience/retail industry.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to obtain necessary permits.
- Commitment to a drug-free workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with point-of-sale systems and pricebook software.
