What You’ll Do
The Finance Director plays a key role in managing all financial operations and contributing to the long-term financial stability of our client's long-established non-profit organization. Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Preparing and presenting monthly financial statements with clear, insightful reporting for executive management and the Board.
- Leading the annual budget process in partnership with the leadership team, ensuring accurate forecasts and allocations.
- Managing cash flow and recommending strategies to maintain healthy reserves.
- Serving as the primary contact for external auditors and overseeing the annual audit process.
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures for continued growth and efficiency.
- Administering employee benefits, including retirement and time-off programs, with a focus on employee satisfaction and compliance.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is an accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- At least 5 years of accounting and financial management experience, non-profit experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with SAGE accounting software and hands-on payroll experience.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience preparing financial reports and reconciliations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.

80-90K base salary DOE, plus up to 30% annual bonus
