Executive Director – Large-Scale Community Management

We are looking for a dynamic Executive Director to lead a vibrant community in West Houston, TX. In this pivotal role, you will provide leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to create an engaging and well-run community. You will work closely with the Board, volunteer committees, and residents to ensure a positive and thriving environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily operations, financial planning, and technical functions of the community, staff, and contractors.
  • Serve as the key advisor to the Board and committees, facilitating strategic planning, goal setting, and community development.
  • Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment by organizing community events and fostering resident engagement.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including developers, builders, local entities, and sub-associations.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop staff to ensure smooth operations and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, state laws, and governing documents.
  • Oversee financial management, including the preparation of annual budgets, reserve studies, and variance reports.
  • Lead and execute board-approved projects that enhance community living.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience: 7+ years in large-scale community association management, with a deep understanding of community operations and financials.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or a related field (advanced certifications such as PCAM, CPM, or MBA are highly preferred).
  • Leadership skills: Strong ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Customer service: Exceptional communication skills with a service-focused approach to resident interactions.
  • Technical expertise: Knowledge of laws governing community associations and proficiency in Windows-based software.

Salary $130K DOE
