We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to join a general contractor based in Phoenix. This firm specializes in commercial projects for healthcare facilities and clean room manufacturing. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of commercial construction processes and is skilled in project estimation and selecting subcontractors and trades for projects including sophisticated requirements for mechanical and electrical components.
Experience in planning for and managing tenant improvement construction projects and projects including equipment installation for healthcare facilities, surgical centers, hospitals, clean room production, and medical manufacturing facilities is highly valued. Candidates must have a strong understanding of market pricing and the ability to leverage existing relationships with reputable vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform project estimation, including developing accurate budgets and scopes of work.
• Handle bid process and select subcontractors, trades and vendors.
• Coordinate and schedule all construction activities efficiently, working field superintendents.
• Vet potential vendors for stability, quality, and pricing to ensure the best project outcomes.
• Manage project budgets and control costs effectively.
• Maintain and adjust project schedules to meet deadlines and manage workload changes.
• Develop solutions for scheduling conflicts and workload challenges.
• Prepare detailed scopes of work for project bids.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through active communication.
