Pre-Construction Manager Opportunity at a Premier GC Firm in East Valley, AZ

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of pre-construction, including budgeting, scheduling, and defining roles with input from Operations Managers and Superintendents.
- Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimates to support projects and client needs.
- Develop and improve pre-construction standards and practices to achieve “Best in Class” status in the industry.
- Engage in regular meetings with architects and clients to resolve issues and ensure well-coordinated bidding documents.
- Monitor and manage design scope changes that impact budgets and schedules, keeping clients informed and guiding their decisions.
- Proactively identify solutions to potential issues that could affect project progress or client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Estimating team to create accurate project budgets, prepare estimates for presentation, and address client inquiries.
- Ensure contract fulfillment, adhering to safety, insurance, and legal requirements while minimizing risks.
- Lead value engineering efforts to provide cost-effective and efficient project solutions for clients.
- Oversee the preparation of materials for client presentations, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Perform constructability reviews and ensure a seamless project handover from pre-construction to operations.
- Manage billing processes, review invoices, and approve before client submission.
- Support client presentations, assist in contract negotiations, and finalize GMP pricing to maximize profitability.
- Drive the selection and purchasing of subcontractors and suppliers as needed on a project-by-project basis.
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of experience with a general contractor (GC)
- 7+ years of experience as a Senior Estimator experience required
- Proven leadership skills and a track record of managing complex pre-construction projects
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to $170K, depending on experience
